A day at Elm Park
At Elm Park it is our firm belief that from entry into school, all children should be exposed to a wide range of different technologies.
We have high expectations of what our children can achieve using technology. The video we have presented was filmed by our reception class children. It shows them using a variety of equipment, ranging from recording equipment to Mac Books.
All our children are allowed to use the equipment, which we are constantly updating and changing (we have just purchased 40 iPod Touch). This has allowed our reception children to produce animations, movies and recordings, as well as develop basic ICT skills such as word processing. This practice is built on through the school, preparing our children for the variety of technology in the outside world. We see technology as a means to support learning in all subjects, not just computer skills.
